A Word From Our Mayor.

Greetings, citizens of Pinehurst. This is a message from your mayor, Margaret E. Brown. I would like to start off with a thank you, for both your everlasting support and trust in me as the head of this town. Pinehurst is blessed with a rich history, a vibrant present, and most importantly, a wonderful community. Together, we have weathered challenges and overcome them, and I have no doubt that we will continue to do so in the future.

As we look ahead, there is much to be excited about in the coming months. Our town is always growing and evolving, yet it maintains its unique character and charm. That is why I am proud to call Pinehurst my home, and I hope that you are too. Only we can make Pinehurst a wonderful place to live, work and play in.

Remember, small town, big dreams!

What is Pinehurst?

Hi there! Pinehurst is a short-run, slice of life roleplay group set in 1999. Also, it’s set in Idaho, courtesy of my fellow Idahoans who made this a reality. This group at its core, focuses on the more mundane aspects of day-to-day life in Pinehurst, with the occasional event sprinkled in for flavor. Think cook-outs, farmer’s markets and urban exploration. The setting is intentionally flexible, allowing you to do whatever you please— Though within reason!

So, as a citizen or a visitor of Pinehurst, you’ll be allowed to craft locations, host events and generally mess around with other characters. This group’s primarily focused on the interpersonal, and the drama you wish to cook up if ever. Hopefully, Pinehurst will run a single season, with a couple of events, or episodes, periodically. Pinehurst is meant to be lightly inspired and flavoured by sitcoms of the era, so you can choose to take a slightly corny route with your character if you so choose to. Again, to reiterate— This group is invite only.

How Does Applying Work?

Pinehurst’s application process will be done through a Google Form, in which individuals may apply for an invite to the Discord server. This is reserved for people I know! Upon touching down in the server, you’ll have a chance to settle down and create an application for your character! Note there will not be a time limit imposed on submitting an application— Take as little or much time as you need!

I intend to keep the nature of Pinehurst moderately sized, as I am doing this as a personal project and am a one-mod team. This may change in the future. All accepted members will be allowed to invite or otherwise ‘vouch for’ other individuals, though be mindful of who is brought into Pinehurst! Depending on how many are invited, invites may be limited or restricted periodically, but this rule is lax.
